Planting notes: some plants emerge as multi-stemmed shrub, others with a single leader; looks nice planted in groups
Seasonal interest: spring flowers, fall fruit
Sustaining wildlife: larval host to the Rustic Sphinx moth and Fringetree Sallow (which also hosts on Ash, which are harder to come by due to the emerald ash borer), fruit for birds including songbirds like cardinal, blue jay, and pileated woodpecker. Deer eat the fruit as well!
